Life Lesson #34 of my first 40 years: Be a problem solver.

Life Lesson #34:  Be a problem solver.

It is easy in life to be a problem identifier – in fact, it sometimes feels like our society specializes in being able to point out what is wrong with this world – personally and professionally.

What I have come to find is that the people who take ownership and responsibility in solving the problems are the ones that reach enormous amounts of success and happiness in their life.

The people that just want to be problem finders – find exactly what they are focusing on – more problems.

One of the quotes that has inspired me over the years and kept me focused on being more of a problem solver is:

“Life is a series of problems.  Do we want to moan about them or solve them?” – M. Scott Peck

It’s easy to moan, whine, and complain about the problem – even ignore the problem.  Unfortunately, you won’t be able to move forward in your life by not taking action and solving the problem.

Don’t get me wrong, being able to identify the problem(s) is needed – just decide to bring 2-3 solutions to the discussion as well – so you can be a part of the solution.
