Life Lesson #38 of my first 40 years: How will I be remembered?

Life Lesson #38:  How will I be remembered?

This question changed the trajectory of my life 15-20 years ago – and it still shapes it every single day.  I think about it, reflect on it, and then take massive action.

By keeping “the end in mind” (as I learned from Dr. Covey) it has inspired me to not get caught up in some of the daily petty little things, drama, and other energy-sucking activities – that in the bigger scheme of things – really don’t mean anything.

What does matter to me is how I show up on a daily basis – because I believe my daily actions are what creates how I will be remembered – my legacy.

Am I being the father that my kids need and will they look back and be proud of my efforts in raising them to be passionate, independent, loving, caring, and responsible human beings?

How will I be remembered?

Am I being the husband that my wife needs and will she look back and be proud to call me her husband, the father of our children, and the love of her life?

How will I be remembered?

Am I being the best servant – sharing my gifts, talents, knowledge, energy, and heart to the best of my ability – to my clients/partners/graduates of my services?

How will I be remembered?

A simple, yet powerful question.  I believe that the more you embrace this question, the more you will be inspired to create a life that you and others will be extremely proud of.
