Life Lesson #8 of my first 40 years: Learn to say “No.”

Life Lesson #8:  Learn to say “No.”

Throughout my life I have wanted to help people and/or make them happy – and that still continues today.  However, I’ve learned to say “No.”

Not because I don’t believe in the cause or the opportunity, it’s just that I’ve decided in my life that when I do something I am going to give it my very best.  The world deserves that.

Overcommitment stretches you way too much.  Yes, you are involved in a lot of things, but you are being “goodnuff” in many of those things versus being extraordinary in a few.  I don’t believe the things and the people you are around deserve “goodnuff” from you.

Choose what is most important in your life and focus your time and energy there.  Say “No and Thank you” to the others.  Trust me, long-term that will be better for everyone.
