Little Red Book of Selling by Jeffrey Gitomer

Jeffrey is one of my favorite speaker/authors for his ability to blend humor, challenge, and inspiration into all of his messages. He is a proven winner when it comes to sales and success and in this book he shares many of the basic elements that must be considered and implemented in order for you to become great at selling. Yet the book isn’t just about selling a product or service – it’s about selling yourself and we do that in every interaction we have with people. It is a very entertaining, real, and fun read – I highly recommend this book!

There are a ton of things that I have taken out of this book, yet here are 3 of the main lessons:

1. It’s not work, it’s NETwork. The key to success in sales is your network – you have to keep building it and investing into it. If you want someone to do business with you, introduce them to other people that will help them with their business. Work together to create win/win scenarios and you’ll build a consistent flow of sales.

2. Ask the wrong questions. Get the wrong answers. Becoming a master of asking great questions is the key to overall success in relationships, building rapport, and getting sales. Jeffrey gives many great examples in the book to help ensure you are on the right track.

3. People don’t like to be sold, but they love to buy! Jeffrey has a great way of coming from a place of service, building rapport, and earning the right of the sale with integrity, honesty, and authenticity. You blend that with the skills he teaches and you have a wonderful mix that will lead to success in sales and in life.

As I mentioned, I am a huge fan of Jeffrey Gitomer and I believe that you will find his style very refreshing and clear. He gets straight to the point and you take something away from every page and how many books can really say that? I highly recommend this book my friends for your Success Library! Happy Reading!
